RBC Wealth Management says two advisors from Wells Fargo are now part of the firm in Minnesota: The Franklin and Lewis Investment Group, which has about $900 million in assets.

The group includes Susan Franklin, who has 21 years of industry experience, according to her FINRA records, and Russell Lewis, who has 23; both spent the past 15 years with Wells Fargo.

"We made the decision to join RBC Wealth Management because of the smaller-firm culture, coupled with the global resources of a large bank," Franklin and Lewis said in a joint statement. "The firm also shares our client-first values, which is incredibly important to us as we build wealth management strategies designed to meet our clients' needs and goals."

Franklin will reside in the Minneapolis office, while Lewis will work in the Stillwater office.

Janney Grabs Advisor in N.J.

Janney Montgomery Scott recently recruited advisor Sheldon Ferriss from Wells Fargo to work in its Bedminster, New Jersey branch. Ferris has over $60 million in assets under management.

Ferris has 20 years in the business. He started his career at Dean Witter (which later became part of Morgan Stanley) and spent the past six at Wells.

"Hiring Sheldon is yet another great example that experienced and successful advisors look to Janney as a top destination in the industry," according to Larry Ennis, branch manager of the Bedminster branch office.
