280 CapMarkets Adds Corporate Bonds on BondNav

280 CapMarkets' fixed income trading and price discovery platform BondNav now offers corporate bonds. The expanded taxable offering on BondNav includes investment-grade and high-yield corporate debt. The move was announced earlier this month.

Cloud-based BondNav allows investment advisors to access, search, evaluate and trade a broad universe of bonds. The technology provides greater clarity into bond pricing and availability by giving advisors visibility to a full range of bond offerings by issuer or series, along with historical trading data.

In addition, 280 CapMarkets has added to its taxable trading and institutional sales distribution capabilities with the hires of Duane Erickson and Mike Avery.

With more than 25 years of experience, Erickson joins as managing director of taxable institutional fixed income sales. He was previously with Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was a managing director of fixed income sales for 10 years. Prior to that, he was a managing director at RBC Capital Markets.

Avery, director of institutional sales, has more than 15 years of experience selling taxable and tax-exempt bonds at major firms, such as RBC Capital Markets, Stone & Youngberg, and Stifel Nicolaus, where he covered Tier 1 and 2 money managers, hedge funds and institutions.

Erickson is based in Chicago, where he will establish an office for 280 CapMarkets. Avery is based out of the company's San Francisco office.
