One weird way to boost sales of life insurance and supplemental insurance products this year might be to find products that appeal to people born in 1990.
The Census Bureau has reported, in a newly released population estimates spreadsheet, that, in 2017, the United States continued to have more residents born in 1990 than in other single year.
Immigration helped increase the estimated number of U.S. residents born in 1990 to 4.79 million in 2017, from 4.76 million in 2016. People born in 1990 were 27 in 2017. This year, they're turning 28.
The number of U.S. residents born in 1989 and 1991 is also very high — over 4.7 million.
