U.S. Bank Wealth Management, a unit of U.S. Bancorp with over 400 employee advisors and $136 billion of assets, has named Karen Wimbish as head of wealth management product.
Recently, Wimbish worked as an executive coach and consultant. She served as the head of the retail retirement group at Wells Fargo from June 2010 to February 2016. Prior to that role, she was president of the Latin American Group of Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Wachovia Securities) from December 2005 to June 2010.
"We are thrilled to welcome Karen to the U.S. Bank team, as she brings a unique blend of expertise, from working directly with financial advisors to managing retirement services for a retail wealth management business. She has deep experience in bringing together banking and investment services," said Gailyn Johnson, COO for U.S. Bank Wealth Management, in a statement.
In her new role, Wimbish will be responsible for product development and management, including investments, insurance, trust, banking products and related platform technology.
