RBC Wealth Management said recently that it nabbed a $4.1 million advisor team in New York.
Scott Edwards and George Kursar, both managing directors, and Michael Occhiuto, senior vice president, all worked previously for Jefferies' New York office and have joined RBC's midtown-Manhattan office. Collectively, the three boast 30 years of Wall Street experience.
"We are thrilled to welcome Scott, George and Michael to the New York office of RBC Wealth Management," said John Moran, director of the midtown complex, said in a statement. "They are an extremely well-respected team of advisors and bring a strong background of industry knowledge and client-first focus for family office, ultra-high-net-worth and institutional clients."
Other recent moves in the industry include Wells Fargo Advisors' (WFC) recruitment of three Morgan Stanley (MS) advisors.
Thomas Hofstetter and Daniel Baron joined WFA in Westport, Connecticut, where they will manage about $334 million combined in client assets. The two and their team report to Christopher Calabrese, Westport market manager.
In addition, Jeremy Burch has joined Wells Fargo Advisors' Park Avenue branch in Manhattan, also from Morgan Stanley, where he managed more than $100 million in client assets. He reports to John McDermott, branch manager.
