The American Association for Long Term Care Insurance (AALTCI) is gearing up to sponsor a one-day long-term care (LTC) solutions sales conference in Washington Oct. 27.

The group has supplemented these kinds of sessions on marketing, lead generation and general market trends it usually offers with a talk by Roger Loomis, an actuary, on the stability of current stand-alone LTCI product pricing.

AALTCI is also including a presentation by John Cutler, the project leader for the Federal Long-Term Care Insurance Program, on the major efforts to overhaul the stand-alone LTCI market.

Cutler, a lawyer who has worked for AARP and the U.S. Administration on Aging as well as the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, is the co-chair of one of the initiatives, the National Long-Term Care Discussion Group,

AALTCI plans to stream many of the sessions, including Cutler's presentation, live on the Internet.

The list of event organizers includes National Underwriter Life & Health, one of the ALM publications that contributes content to the LifeHealthPro.com website.
