This week in personnel announcements and new hires, the SEC announced that it has hired a new judges and three attorneys, and that it will bring in another judge this summer, and Aperio Group brought in Rick Moreno.
Also, Nuance Investments welcomed Chad Baumler as portfolio manager and Allianz Life hired Jeff Pruitt.
SEC Adds Two Judges, Three Attorneys
The SEC has announced that James Grimes has joined the Office of Administrative Law Judges, and attorneys Darien Capron, William Weihao Miller and Jessica Neiterman have been hired as law clerks. In addition, another administrative law judge is expected to join the office in August.
Grimes previously spent 13 years at the Department of Justice, where he was a senior litigation counsel in its civil division and a member of the faculty at the Department of Justice National Advocacy Center. He began his career in the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps.
Capron is formerly an associate at Covington & Burling LLP. Miller was previously a litigation associate with Arnold & Porter LLP. Neiterman is a former litigation associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
Aperio Group Welcomes Moreno
Aperio Group has announced that Rick Moreno has joined the firm.
Formerly a director at KKR, Moreno earlier was a managing director at BlackRock. Before that, he was director of the client research and strategy group at Goldman Sachs, and was a member of the steering committee that established the Goldman Sachs Trust Co.
