MassMutual teams up with Penbridge for pension risk transfer services
Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) is participating in the Penbridge Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) Database, which provides corporate pension plans and their advisors with critical pension risk transfer information, according to a press release from Penbridge Advisors. MassMutual currently services more than 100,000 annuitants on behalf of approximately 500 pension buyout contracts that represent $3.0 billion of assets under management (AUM).
Steve Keating, co-founder and principal of Penbridge Advisors, noted that MassMutual's participation in the Penbridge PRT Database will add to the valuable information available to plans and advisors that seek to evaluate pension de-risking alternatives. The PRT Database provides registered users with an overview of major PRT providers, inventory of available products, contract parameters, financial due diligence information, screening tools, pricing data and up-to-date information on each PRT provider's financial strength and relevant industry research.
