CNA Financial Corp. has hired iGate Corp. to provide claim support, policyholder services and customer service for its long-term care insurance (LTCI) business. CNA (NYSE:CNA) started pulling out of the individual LTCI market in 2003, and it suspended new group LTCI plan sales in 2011.
Some employers still offer CNA group LTCI programs that were in place in 2011, and the company is enrolling new participants in those plans.
The University of Oklahoma, for example, has posted 2014 LTCI insurance rates here. The service provider, iGate (Nasdaq:IGTE), went public under the name Mastech in 1996. It acquired Patni Computer Services, a large Indian technology and business operations support company, in 2011.
