PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island's health insurance exchange has again extended the deadline to enroll in a health plan and pay to have coverage begin next month.
HealthSource RI says individuals now have until Dec. 31 to select a plan and must pay by Jan. 6 if they want their coverage to begin on Jan. 1.
The state-based Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) exchange recently moved the enrollment deadline to Dec. 23, from Dec. 15.
Small employers will have until Dec. 27 to pick a plan for their workers, with payment also due by Jan. 6.
