The emerging budget deal is a small victory for Republicans

The two sides currently working on a budget deal aren't sharing details, but news reports are providing a rough shape of what to expect. The deal proposes to authorize $1.015 trillion – a near split between what Republicans and Democrats each wanted. The rest of the deal, however, might not be so merry for Dems who might have to concede more than they want.
