23andMe scraps health analysis while it fights with the FDA

While the Food and Drug Administration sorts out the ethics of 23andMe's consumer DNA tests, customers who sent tests in after the Nov. 22 warning will receive a scaled back report of their results. Customers can see what their DNA reveals about their ancestral origins but will not learn what health traits are associated with their genes or what diseases they may be prone to. The FDA's warning is not over people getting their DNA, but the interpretation of the results.
