Scientists now know when you’ll get the flu nine weeks before it happens

Scientists at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health have developed an algorithm to predict flu outbreaks up to nine weeks in advance in 108 American cities. Last year, predictions were 63 percent accurate in the cities analyzed with 100 percent accuracy in Birmingham, New York City and Kansas City.
