Americans' desire to shed pounds outweighs effort

More than half of Americans (51 percent) say they want to lose weight, but only 25 percent say they are really working to make that happen, according to Gallup. Unfortunately, the amount of weight Americans want to lose is 15 pounds more than it was in 1990, yet the percentage of people with a desire to lose weight has not changed.
