FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange had 6,946 people sign up for 2014 health coverage during its first week of operation.
Gov. Steve Beshear's office said Monday that the state-based exchange, kynect, has attracted 175,000 visitors since it opened to the public Oct. 1.
The visitors have gone through 155,016 eligibility screening processes and completed 14,755 coverage applications.
At the kynect Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) division, 209 small businesses have started the process of applying for coverage.
