Bipartisan House group offers compromise to end shutdown by impasse

Both parties in Congress are becoming fatigued by and worried that the government shutdown could damage them politically. In an effort that seeks a détente over the budget negotiations while still chipping away at PPACA, a group of 20 lawmakers sent House Speaker John Boehner a proposal today.
