‘I don’t need health care’: Millennials threaten success of reform

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act needs to attract 'young invincibles' to purchase insurance through nascent insurance marketplaces known as exchanges in order to subsidize older, sicker individuals. Many young people, however, cannot afford it, do not understand how the law operates, or are so smug about their current state of health they would rather pay a fine.
