PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training will host a recruitment event for up to 75 new jobs at a customer service center for the state's health insurance exchange.
Connextions, the Florida-based company that won a contract to operate HealthSource RI's call center in Providence, will hold the job fair event at 12:30 p.m. EDT Aug. 14, in the Providence, R.I., office of the netWORKri agency.
Connextions has said it will be start by hiring 50 and 75 people and will eventually employ up to 100 people.
HealthSource RI managers are hoping the call center will open in September.
The starting salary for the positions will be $12.70 an hour, and bilingual agents may earn more, according to the job fair notice.
