Inflows, outflows, ups, downs—should your clients buy the new video game ETF or stick to the more traditional NASCAR ETF? It can all get a bit overwhelming.

ETF strategist and money manager CLS Investments, from the same family of businesses as Orion Advisor Services and Gemini Fund Services, launched a new service to provide information and education on the space.

The AdvisorIQ education series "will provide tools and resources financial advisors need to better manage and grow their practices," according to the company.

The series will explain business management, marketing and investment planning strategies through a series of industry reports and white papers and by presenting examples of successful advisors and their step-by-step approach to winning new business, creating operational efficiencies and enhancing the service they offer to clients.

"The advisors will see it as a value-add," said Todd Clarke, CEO of CLS Investments.  "There are no subscriptions or fees, and [AdvisorIQ] allows the advisor to research product-specific information."

The first report in the series, "Expand Your Referral Network: Tap Into the $16 Trillion Qualified Plan Market through Partnerships with TPAs," highlights the opportunity for advisors to target retirement plans by partnering with third-party administrators.

According to Clarke, building relationships with TPAs is an excellent way for advisors differentiating themselves through use of ETFs and managed accounts to gain entry to the retirement plan market.

"TPAs can provide the experience, knowledge and resources to help advisors get up and running in this market quickly," he noted.

Also available soon as part of the CLS AdvisorIQ series will be an industry report developed by CLS in partnership with iShares, "Propel Your Business Forward: The Inside Track to Choosing and Implementing ETF Strategists." This report will help advisors navigate the fast-growing ETF marketplace.  The report identifies the key profitability drivers and client cost savings that advisors can leverage by using third parties that specialize in ETF portfolio construction.

The AdvisorIQ reports can be downloaded from the CLS website at www.clsinvest.com
