GOP wants new cost estimate for health law after mandate delay

Seven GOP committee leaders including Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., and Paul Ryan, R-Wis., have asked the Congressional Budget Office to reevaluate how much the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will cost now that the employer mandate has been delayed. This will impact the law's cost because, one would assume, the individuals who were expecting to be covered by their employers will now have to purchase health insurance on exchanges or through an expansion of Medicaid.
