Around the world: Where saving big matters less

The Unites States has a dismal savings record, banking, on average, just 2.4 percent of disposable income. This puts us low on the global scale. We find ourselves strapped for cash due to the outrageous price of a college education, the burden of our health care system and a draining social safety net.
