Why Americans are eating fewer hot dogs

Sales of hot dogs are declining. A professor of agricultural economics thinks it might have to do with America's declining birth rate since hot dogs are more popular among children. Changing immigration demographics is another possible reason for declining sales. Americans' food palate is expanding, says Josh Ozersky, a food journalist and historian. He sees the hot dog being replaced by nachos and tacos.
