In U.S., 43% of uninsured unaware they must get coverage

According to a recent Gallup poll, 81 percent of Americans say that they are aware of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's requirement that most Americans must have health insurance or pay a fine. However, among Americans currently uninsured — those the law is supposed to help the most — 56 percent say they know about the provision and 43 percent say they are unaware.
