House passes late-term abortion ban

A contentious bill to make abortions illegal after 22 weeks of pregnancy passed the House yesterday. Voting fell mostly along party lines with Republicans overwhelmingly supporting the bill. The bill is centered on the disputed fact that baby can feel pain at 22 weeks. It has been said that it has no chance of being considered in the Senate and the president would likely veto it.
