US mothers increasingly main family breadwinner

Quite a lot has changed from the 1960s when most women were cooking the bacon rather than brining it home. Back then, just 11 percent of families were supported primarily by working mothers compared to 40 percent now. However, we still have a long way to go; the report found that married women make much more than single women.
