This week in new hires, Joel Marcus joined Genworth Wealth Management and Direxion brought in Patrick Rudnick as chief financial officer.
Also, Benjamin Jensen went to U.S. Bancorp Investments, and Citi Private Bank appointed Steven Wieting global chief strategist.
Genworth Wealth Management Adds Joel Marcus
Genworth Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Genworth Financial, announced that it had hired Joel Marcus as regional specialist, in charge of business and channel development in the central region. He will be based in Dallas, and report to Michael Kim, senior vice president.
Prior to joining, Marcus was vice president of sales, institutional wealth services, at Fidelity Investments, where he managed RIA custody sales. He also served as managing director, sales and marketing, for Advisor Partners, a boutique investment management firm, and as key account manager, strategic accounts group, for Schwab Institutional.
Direxion Names Patrick Rudnick CFO
Direxion announced that Patrick Rudnick has been named CFO. He will report to Eric Falkeis, chief operating officer of Rafferty, and oversee the financial, compliance and risk oversight aspects of the firm's business. He will also join the senior planning team.
With more than 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, Rudnick was most recently a vice president in the fund administration division of U.S. Bancorp Fund Services. He began his career as a fund accountant at U.S. Bancorp, and served as an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers before rejoining U.S. Bancorp in 2006.
