Two bills in Florida could simplify marketing efforts for long-term care insurance (LTCI) carriers that do business in the Sunshine State.
The bills, state House Bill 675 and its companion, state Senate Bill 648, would allow insurers to start using LTCI marketing materials as soon as they had filed the materials with state insurance regulators.
The regulators then would have the right to disapprove use of any materials that turned out to have problems.
Today, an insurer must file materials with regulators and give the regulators at least 30 days to review the materials before starting to use the materials.
