New York Life announced that Senior Vice President Angela Kyle and Managing Partners Thomas Krach, Mark Madgett, and Frank Scarpa have joined the boards of nonprofit organizations focused on childhood bereavement.
Childhood bereavement, a pet cause of The New York Life Foundation since 2008, the charitable arm of New York Life is a subject that the company feels is under-addressed and under-funded and over the years the Foundation has approached the issue in myriad ways.
Kyle will be on the board of Comfort Zone Camp, a camp that serves youth who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. Magdett was named to the board of the Moyer Foundation, a child bereavement-focused foundation that was founded by major league pitcher Jamie Moyer. Krach and Scarpa were named to the board of Cornerstone of Hope, a support center for grieving children and adults in Ohio.
