First Clearing's Caiazzo Takes SIFMA's Clearing Firms Committee Chair
Al Caiazzo, managing director and chief quality and risk officer of First Clearing Correspondent Services, was named 2013 chairman of the clearing firms committee for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), effective Jan. 1. Caiazzo also chairs First Clearing's correspondent business review committee and sits on its senior management committee, as well as on several committees for Wells Fargo Advisors.
Previously, he was senior vice president for NYSE member firm Wexford Clearing Services, a subsidiary of Prudential Securities. He held a variety of positions in the Prudential organization after joining in 1983, including acting in the capacity of chief administrative officer for Wexford.
Christian Sulger-Büel to Lead Family Office Exchange International Network
Family Office Exchange (FOX) announced Jan. 16 the appointment of Christian Sulger-Büel as managing director, FOX International. He will be responsible for supporting and expanding the FOX network around the world.
Previously he operated his own consultancy helping families set up and recruit for their family offices. His experience in private wealth management includes two years as deputy general manager for Paribas Monaco and four years as associate director at Paribas' head office in Paris, leading the team responsible for UHNW clients. For six years, while running Paribas' private banking office in London, he also managed the team (Paris, London, Luxembourg, Zurich and Geneva) serving Middle Eastern private clientele. WHM Capital Advisors LLC has named Bill Mitchell (left) as its new senior portfolio manager. With more than two decades of experience in financial services, he is a veteran of the investment industry, having worked with both institutional and individual investors through numerous market cycles.
Mitchell began his financial career in 1992 as an analyst for Elliott Wave International (EWI) in Gainesville, Ga., covering major world equity, currency, commodity and interest rate markets. While there, he became chief equity strategist and managed the institutional equity department. In 2001, Mitchell joined Wells Fargo Advisors, managing money for individual families and small businesses.
Pentegra Retirement Services Promotes Charles Coldwell Jr.
Pentegra Retirement Services announced Jan. 17 the promotion of Charles ("Chuck") Coldwell Jr. to vice president, consulting services. He will report to Richard Rausser, senior vice president, client services.
With more than 30 years of retirement plan experience, Coldwell began his career with Pentegra in 1978. He left the organization in 2002 when he joined Glenn G. Geiger Co. to focus his efforts on executive and director benefit programs. He rejoined Pentegra in 2011 as a senior member of the consulting services team.
