What's on the horizon for the independent life insurance distribution channel in the coming year? You can hear from experts in the subject and even ask them questions during a one-hour live webinar set for 2 p.m., Eastern, on Thursday, Dec. 13.

Join me and featured speakers Pat Leary of LIMRA and Dave Kahal of AXA Equitable for "The Changing Face of Life Insurance Distribution: 2013 Strategies." This free event will examine the distribution challenges and opportunities facing independent life insurance producers in the coming year.

What's happening in life insurance distribution has been top of mind for me at Life Insurance Selling recently, as the December issue of the magazine included the sixth and final monthly installment of a series on challenges facing the independent distribution channel. The series, which can be read in its entirety online, covers key issues such as the aging producer workforce, the possibility of potentially damaging regulatory changes, competition from other channels, the dangers of neglecting the middle market, consumer apathy and the effects of emerging technology.

During Thursday's webinar, the speakers will address some of these issues by exploring the potential impact they can have for today's independent producer, looking at how many independent distribution organizations are diversifying their business models, and identifying solutions and opportunities existing in today's market environment.

I hope you can join us for Thursday's live event (register for free by clicking the previous link), and bring your best questions for our speakers, as the webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.
