Brookdale Senior Living has picked Connected Living to help residents in its nursing homes go online.

Brookdale houses 67,000 residents in 646 communities in 35 states.

Connected Living sets up wireless facilities in nursing homes and other senior communities; posts community calendars, menus, local news and other items of interest on the networks; then sends in live human beings to show the residents how to use the networks to get to the resources.

Christopher McWade, the chairman and co-founder of Connected Living, helped start Beer.com and Diamond.com before he started Connected Living.

Sarah Hoit, the chief executive officer and another co-founder of the company, helped design President Clinton's AmeriCorps volunteer labor program.
