Pru to Hold Conference to Help Vets and Law Enforcement Change Careers

Veterans returning home from a decade of war, military men and women who are already home and having trouble finding employment and law enforcement officials who have been laid off due to budgetary constraints will have the opportunity to be educated on how to transition to new careers.

Prudential Financial Inc., in a partnership with the ASIS Military Liaison Council and the ASIS International Law Enforcement Liaison Council will be holding a seminar on March 30 at Prudential's Newark NJ headquarters (a fitting location since only two years ago, the Newark police laid off 167 officers).

The seminar will consist of a panel discussion with military vets and law enforcement professionals that have made the jump to other careers and both private and public sector employers who are looking to fill their own ranks with individuals of this caliber. Once the panel discussion concludes, Prudential Human Resource professionals will assist attendees during a Resume Review Workshop that will prepare them for the formal job search.
