The dictionary defines a "guarantee" as a promise that assures a particular outcome and indicates the quality of a product or service. It is also defined as an agreement whereby a person or company assumes responsibility for paying another's debts or fulfilling another's obligations. A guarantee provides security and peace of mind. You may not know it yet, but we sell guarantees.

During times of great uncertainty, we are the only people who can provide guaranteed outcomes. We assume the American people know this, but they don't. They don't know because we don't tell them. We assume they understand the amazing benefits we can provide.

What a dangerous assumption. It creates danger for our prospects and clients who may not achieve the financial safety they desire without our help. It also creates danger for agents who are emphasizing the wrong things about their products.

I ask everyone this question: Do you want to be rich or do you want to absolutely, positively guarantee that you will never be poor? Ninety-eight out of 100 times they want to guarantee that they will never be poor.

Then I walk them through the incredible guarantees provided by our products.

CASH VALUE LIFE INSURANCE

• Guarantees death benefits at the exact time they are needed.

• Guarantees income you can never outlive.

• Guarantees access to the cash value during times of emergency.

Whole Life, Universal Life and Index Universal Life can provide guaranteed increases in cash value. They also can guarantee no loss of gains already made.

ANNUITIES

• All annuities, even variable annuities, guarantee to never lose any money. While the variable annuities guarantee only applies to its death benefit, it still provides a measure of certainty that other aggressive investments do not.

• All annuities, even variable annuities, provide guaranteed lifetime income.

• Fixed interest and fixed index annuities also provide guaranteed minimum interest rates and guaranteed final results.

There are many other guarantees provided by our industry:

• Long-term care insurance guarantees that individuals can grow old with dignity.

• Critical illness insurance guarantees that families will be able to make important choices about how to deal with a heart attack, stroke or cancer.

Remember, we sell guarantees. The American people don't know these guarantees are available. It is your job to get out there and tell them.

"We assume the American people know this, but they don't."
