One of the many lessons gleaned from the ongoing economic crisis is that many Americans are not as financially literate as they should be. The ramifications of the crisis have left both the general public and those who work in the financial planning and life insurance field agreeing that more has to be done to ingrain a well-rounded, basic level of financial literacy into the public psyche and, as with any subject, the best time to learn is when you are young.
On January 21, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) won BestPrep's Humanitarian Award during the 14th annual "Birdies for BestPrep" event at International Market Square in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The award is given to a Minnesota company for their performance in community involvement and educating students.
