NAILBA Members Elect New Faces for New Year

The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA), Fairfax, VA., has announced that Dexter S. Umekubo, Senior Managing Partner at Salina, KS based Producers XL has been named Chairman.

The organization, which strives to promote financial security and consumer choice through the utilization of independent brokerage distribution, feels that "Dex will be an enthusiastic and driven leader. His tireless efforts on behalf of NAILBA's legislative affairs, his commitment to the brokerage community and his strategic vision will serve NAILBA members well in the coming year," according to NAILBA Executive Director Jack Chiasson. 

More new faces are joining NAILBA's executive committee including:

  • Raymond Phillips Jr., President of Pittsburgh based Broker's Source,Ltd., who will serve as Chairman elect. 
  • Barbara Crowley, President and CEO of Brokers Clearing House, Ltd., West Des Moines IA., will serve as both Secretary and Treasurer.
  • Christi M. Daughenbaugh of Borden Hamman Agency, Dallas, will remain as Immediate Past Chairman for 2012.

The NAILBA has also announced new directors for 2012, including Thomas L. Gilbert of The National Benefit Corp, West Des Moines, IA., Steve Walther of The Sellin Advisor Group, Inc., Eagle ID., and George C. Van Dusen, IV of Diversified Brokerage Services Inc., Minneapolis MN.
