Despite the recent debt crisis and austerity striking Europe, there are still plenty of super wealthy people out there. These cities in Europe's rich economies dominate the Top 10 list of ultra wealthy residents, according to a report released Tuesday by Wealth-X.
Germany is home to 15,925 individuals with a net worth of at least $30 million each, the largest population of ultra-affluent people in Europe. These are largely dispersed among four cities. In contrast, the U.K.'s population of ultra-wealthy, though 50% smaller, is concentrated in the London area.
The new report is Wealth-X's first ranking of European cities most popular with ultra-high-net-worth people. Mykolas Rambus, the firm's chief executive, said in a statement that the ranking would "enable private wealth managers, not-for-profits and luxury brands to better devise strategies to efficiently and effectively deploy sales and marketing resources to reach this much-sought-after community."
