Welcome to the largest, most comprehensive web destination ever created to serve the life and health insurance industry. Although the site is brand new, LifeHealthPro is the result of a partnership between media brands you already know and trust – National Underwriter, Life Insurance Selling, Senior Market Advisor and Agent's Sales Journal. We've shut down these brands' individual sites, combined our efforts and launched this site on a more robust, scalable platform so that we can reach a larger community of readers like you and evolve in step with the industry we're here to serve.

So why LifeHealthPro? And why now?

I would argue that there has never been a better time for LifeHealthPro, and the reason is that the industry is facing challenges at what may very well be unprecedented levels. For one, consumers have less discretionary income to spend on the insurance products they need to secure a stable future for themselves and their families. And, unfortunately, this comes at a time when the financial security of the average American family is more uncertain than it has been for decades, making the need for life and health insurance products all the more pronounced.

Complicating the industry's efforts to help consumers plan for a secure future is the fact that the industry itself is in a state of flux. Massive regulatory and legislative packages coming out of Washington, such as the Dodd-Frank Act and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, will very likely – and very fundamentally – reshape the way that large segments of the industry conduct business. The long-term effects of these legislative efforts on the industry are unknown. Heck, even the next few weeks are a little fuzzy.

The need for an online destination where readers can find information and tools to help them address the collective challenges they face cannot be understated. LifeHealthPro is that destination. But, what exactly will you find here?

LifeHealthPro is information

LifeHealthPro features the largest and most experienced group of award-winning journalists in the industry working hard every day to bring you the latest news, analysis and expert insight you need to be successful. Subscribe to LifeHealthPro's Daily newsletter, and you will start every morning with the latest news in the life and health industry, delivered to you by National Underwriter's veteran team of journalists. And then check out the site throughout the day for updates and up-to-the-minute news stories. In the past month, we've expanded our editorial staff in Washington so that we're better equipped to cover relevant regulatory and legislative activities and explain how these activities could impact you.

LifeHealthPro is insight

We're about more than news coverage. We'll not only report the news, our editorial team will be working hard to contextualize and analyze appropriate news events and issues so you understand what's at stake and what it means to you.

Plus, the research program presented within the pages of Agent's Sales Journal will now be featured on LifeHealthPro. Through this program, we will be conducting original research to identify key challenges and opportunities and uncover important trends shaping the future of the life and health insurance industry.

LifeHealthPro is thought-leadership

The site will also be a forum for thought-leaders within the industry to share their opinions and insight on issues that matter to you. We'll be posting new blogs every day of the week. Sometimes you'll agree with the author, and sometimes you won't. Either way, be sure to participate in the lively discussions taking place in the reader comment section following every article and blog.
