The Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) plans to present sessions on life settlement pricing risk, the status of life settlement funds, and institutional investors' outlook at an upcoming conference.

LISA, Orlando, Fla. – the trade group for the life settlement industry – plans to start the 3-day conference Oct. 3 in Atlanta.

The group will be trying to whet professional money managers' interest in life settlement investments by offering a complimentary conference registration to institutional investors.

LISA also will be offering a 1-day life settlement compliance conference Oct. 3, and it will be admitting state regulators and staffers to the compliance conference at no cost.

The list of scheduled speakers includes Thomas Cunningham, a senior economist at the Federal Bank of Atlanta, and S. Jay Olshansky, a senior researcher at the University of Chicago who has written about mortality, longevity and insurance-linked securities.
