Six days in Las Vegas. Whew! Ok, maybe I stayed a little bit too long, but I wanted to bring you up to date on some pretty cool things that took place at the 11th installment of Senior Market Advisor Expo.

Jim Brogan of Knoxville, Tenn.-based Brogan Financial was crowned Senior Market Advisor's 2011 Advisor of the Year. Read our press release announcing Brogan as AOY for 2011.

More than 400 advisors were on hand to take in the three-day show. With exhibitors, sponsors and staff, that number topped the always elusive 500-person barrier.

Be on the lookout for extensive coverage of the Expo in SMA's October issue.

For the first time at the show, social media played a huge role in connecting the event to readers and attendees. Before the show, Senior Market Advisor, Producer'sWeb and various attendees communicated that we would cover the event live through Twitter. Below you will find highlights from the #SMAX twitter feed. Enjoy!
