MIB: Life Activity Creeps Higher

U.S. life insurers researched a few more requests for individual coverage in June than they did in June 2010.

The MIB Group Inc., Braintree, Mass., has published new life activity data in an analysis of U.S. life insurers' use of MIB databases to check individually underwritten life applications.

Overall U.S. activity volume increased 0.1% in June. Activity volume fell 2.1% for applicants ages 0 to 44, and it rose 0.2% for applicants ages 45 to 59.

Activity for applicants ages 60 and older jumped 8.1%.
