Baird said Tuesday that it added a veteran financial advisor team, the Crawford, Holzrichter & Morrison Group, to its new wealth management office in Sioux City, Iowa. The group joins Milwaukee-based Baird from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where it managed about $195 million in assets and has yearly sales (or production) of $1.5 million.
The three financial advisors in the group, Richard Crawford, Daniel Holzrichter and Jay Morrison all joined Citigroup, the previous parent company of Smith Barney, in March 2001. Gwen Berkenpas, the registered client relationship associate who is coming over to Baird with the team, joined team in August 2007.

Employee-owned Baird now has more than 680 financial advisors nationwide with about $63 million in client assets. Since early 2009, it has added close to 180 FAs.
In Iowa, Baird says it also has offices in Cedar Rapids, Davenport and West Des Moines. Across the United States, its newest office locations include Sioux City, Charlotte, N.C., Winston-Salem, N.C, Denver, Sacramento, Calif., Lynchburg, Va., Baltimore and Easton, Md.In addition, the broker-dealer says it plans to open offices in Raleigh, N.C., Portland, Ore.
