Symetra Life Insurance Company has hired John Richter to be vice president of national accounts.
Richter previously was head of key accounts for retirement income at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass.
He has a bachelor's degree from Charleston Southern University.
Symetra also has increased the size of its wholesaling force by hiring 5 regional vice presidents: Jeremy Alyea, Central region; David Frey, New England region; Michael Hickey, Northeast region; Stephanie Schuler, Southwest region; and Scott Talley, East Coast region.
Symetra has also named two new regional sales managers in its group division.
James Clement will handle the West Central region, and Kelley Symons will handle the Midwest region.
