Fiduciary duty is a topic that is now at the forefront of the re-regulatory discourse as the investment community digests the Securities and Exchange Commission's Study on Investment Advisers and Broker-Dealers. Now, fi360 and AdvisorOne invite thought leaders on fiduciary issues in the investment industry to submit articles to the 2011 fi360 Article Competition.

We announced this call for articles at the fi360 National Conference last May, and we will announce the 2011 winner at the 2011  fi360 National Conference, May 4-6, in San Antonio, Texas.  There is a prize of $1,000 to the author of the most outstanding article, and it will be eligible to be featured on the AdvisorOne website.

The Challenge

While fiduciary practitioners discuss fiduciary issues all the time, many advisors want to know what the thought leaders are saying—and doing. The fiduciary discussion is broadening to a much wider audience. Your articles are welcome and we look forward to reviewing them and selecting the most outstanding of them all.

All articles must focus on helping fiduciaries better understand and perform their roles or advocate for higher standards of care. While articles may be as general or specific in nature as the author desires, articles that are timely and/or tied to specific topics are more likely to be accepted for publication.

Articles to be considered for the prize to be awarded at the 2011 fi360 National Conference are due by March 1, 2011.
