Brokerage Multi-Financial Securities Corp. announced Tuesday that Daniel W. Maurer has joined the firm as senior vice president of national sales.
Headquartered in Denver, Multi-Financial is a part of the Cetera Financial Group network, which also includes the broker-dealers Financial Network (FNIC) and PrimeVest. Founded in 1981, Multi-Financial provides products and services to about 1,000 financial professionals around the country.
Maurer will be responsible for overseeing practice management and sales and for building stronger relationships with existing advisors.
Prior to joining Multi-Financial, Maurer held positions for nine years with Curian Capital LLC, a third-party asset manager, most recently serving as senior vice president of marketing since 2005. Before that, he served as managing director of financial services at Josepthal & Co., where he was responsible for sales and marketing related to the firm's investment advisory programs, mutual funds, UITs and insurance products. He received his bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in business administration from the State University of New York.
