Personnel Changes: Prudential, Guardian, Allianz, Transamerica, Crump

Prudential Financial Inc. has promoted Kara Segreto to chief marketing officer at the Prudential Retirement unit.

Segreto previously held other marketing positions at Prudential, according to Prudential, Newark, N.J. (NYSE:PRU).

Segreto has a bachelor's degree in English from Haverford College and a master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Business.

In other personnel news:

- Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, has hired Dong Ahn to be senior vice president of group insurance.

Ahn previously was a leader in the group insurance division at Aetna Inc., Hartford.

Ahn has a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Yale University.

- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of Allianz S.E., Munich, Germany, has promoted Pete Hartley to director of financial reporting.

Hartley previously was the financial manager for Allianz Life.

Hartley has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.

- Transamerica Retirement Services, Los Angeles, a unit of Aegon N.V., The Hague, Netherlands (NYSE:AEG), has hired Steve Marsh to be a regional vice president for the southern region.

Marsh previously was a regional vice president at Nationwide Financial Services Inc, Columbus, Ohio.

Marsh has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations.

- Crump Life Insurance Services, an insurance wholesaler that is part of Crump Group Inc., Roseland, N.J. has hired Robert DiMeo to start a life brokerage office in Los Angeles.

DiMeo previously was the managing principal in the Los Angeles office of Highland Capital Brokerage Inc.
