Raymond James announced Wednesday that it has recruited two Baton Rouge, La.-based financial advisors, Tom Breaux and Ian James, both of them veterans of large wirehouse firms.
Together, Breaux and James will operate as Capital Financial Group, an independent firm, according to Bill Van Law, national director of business development for Raymond James Financial Services, the independent broker/dealer of the firm. Securities will be offered through Raymond James Financial Services Inc.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Breaux joins the firm as a financial advisor and branch manager. Previously, he spent four years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a financial advisor and vice president and before that worked at Dean Witter and Paine Webber. He provides comprehensive financial planning for his clients and has a niche focus on physicians.
"For a year, I conducted due diligence on five companies and decided that Raymond James was the best fit for me and my clients," Breaux said in a statement. "I was extremely impressed with their transition management and the fact that they support their independent advisors so well. In the end, it was an easy choice."
