The New York State Insurance Department wants to hire fraud investigators for permanent, full-time positions based in New York City.
The insurance fraud investigators will be responsible for conducting investigations of felonies and criminal law violations involving insurance fraud and related crimes, such as perjury and witness intimidation, officials say.
Investigators also will be responsible for securing statements, records and photographs to be used in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
Candidates should be prepared to conduct "surveillance of suspected and dangerous persons, locations and equipment associated with a case under investigation at all hours of the day or night in high-crime areas."
