We've been sharing some marketing great advice from The Arrow blog. Last week we shared five ways to enhance your personal brand, including updating your logo, using cold-calling scripts and creating prospecting letters. Here are four more helpful hints.

1. Develop your website. Many prospective clients want to know as much about you as possible before they agree to meet. And, in today's world, they expect to find you online. A website is a cost-effective way to deliver information, promote your unique value, and enhance your business's credibility and professionalism.

2. Social media. While most providers and broker-dealers won't allow you to talk about their products, using social media is a great way to help increase your visibility, demonstrate your unique value proposition, build relationships and expand your network.

3. E-mail marketing templates. E-mail marketing helps you build relationships with clients and prospects by using attractive, professional-looking electronic communications to stay in regular touch with them. Some e-mail marketing software programs and services, like Constant Contact, allow you to customize their HTML templates with your logo, colors and photos. If your software or service provider allows you to create customized templates, consider hiring a graphic or Web designer to create several templates for e-mail and newsletters for your business.

4. Print ads. Print advertisements can be placed in local business and association publications and newsletters to increase your visibility and awareness in your target market. You don't have to place an ad in every issue of a particular publication, but repetition is important. Research shows people need to see or hear a message three to five times before they become aware of it.
