Will the iPhone Change My Practice, and Professional Advice?

I hope you all had a very good Christmas. I did.

One of my gifts was an iPhone. So let it now be said that I have entered the 21st century. The iPhone is quite an interesting gadget, with 300,000 apps. 300,000! How will I ever get through all of them to see which ones I can use?

Of course, I'm joking. First, I can rule out all the games—I just don't have time to spend on that. Then there are all the other miscellaneous apps for which I will never have a need. So what's left? Oh, yes, 200,000 apps!

I suppose 2011 will begin the period of the cell-to-computer -to-business integration. I know some of you are already on the 'enlightened' path. Be patient, it just took me a bit longer to get there. Also included with the phone is 4G (who comes up with these names?). Now I can connect to the Internet anywhere, anytime. Seems like every computer should have this. Alas…maybe someday. Who knows? Maybe someday the iPad will replace our laptops. Things are surely changing.

With a new website, a new CRM and now a new phone, how will I ever learn it all? Oh, and if that wasn't enough, I am in the middle of placing a rather large life insurance policy. Actually, policies. But first, I have to bring my AML training up to date. Then I have to get appointed with the various companies. Finally, I have to get the rest of the paperwork completed and submitted. Okay; one step at a time.

I would like to thank all the readers who faithfully follow this blog. I have enjoyed your comments and insights and look forward to hearing from you all in the future. I will raise my glass and offer up a toast to all of you on New Year's Eve.

Thanks for reading. See you next year!
