FundQuest, a global provider of investment research and wealth management solutions, has announced key new hires that the firm says will help it drive growth in the New Year.

"As FundQuest assumes new initiatives and drives business growth in 2011, it is essential to secure and maintain industry experts to support these opportunities," said Lincoln Ross, CEO of FundQuest, in a statement.

Financial sales and services veterans, Robert Vines and Andrew Simonetti, join FundQuest as AVPs of Regional Sales. Vines joins FundQuest from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he positioned fee-based solutions to financial advisors, FundQuest says. He will assume leadership of FundQuest's Northeast, Midwest and Southwest territories. Simonetti's 15 years of experience will help drive business growth in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and West territories. Simonetti previously held senior sales positions with Putnam Investments, MassMutual and MFS Investment Management.

In FundQuest's Relationship Management group, Carla Portelli has joined as Vice President of National Accounts. Portelli's twenty years of experience in relationship management with Fidelity Investments and MFS Institutional Advisors will support the firm's accounts throughout the United States. In addition, Jessica Zall has assumed leadership of FundQuest's Marketing department. Zall possesses over ten years of industry experience in both senior marketing roles and financial sales.

Melissa Peterson, CFA, also joins the firm's Investment Management and Research team as Senior Analyst. She brings eight years of experience working for wealth management firms such as Karpus Investment Management and John Hancock Financial Services where she performed analysis and performance oversight across a variety of asset classes and platforms.
